This is Sprout Social’s official overview video.
Sprout Social Features
Sprout Social Messages
Sprout Social offers a single-stream inbox where you can see all your messages across all platforms in one view. From your Messages inbox, you can filter your stream, categorize your messages, reply and respond, assign tasks for others to complete, or mark messages as complete.

Sprout Social Tasks
If you use Sprout Social with a team, as we do on behalf of clients, you can use the Tasks section to quickly see what tasks have been completed, what needs to be done, and you can assign tasks that need to be completed.
Sprout Social Feeds
The Feeds section lets you filter your message stream by each of your connected networks. You can further filter your Twitter feed by those accounts you’ve assigned to specific lists. For example, we create media lists to help us use twitter for public relations.
You can even connect your Feedly account to import RSS feeds to which you subscribe to help with your content curation efforts.
Sprout Social Publishing
The Publishing section is where you’ll spend most of your time. Sprout Social lets you schedule status updates for all of your social networks. You can assign the same message to multiple networks or create a unique message for each. You can upload images to make your messages stand out. For posts that need approval or to create a template update that you can re-use, you can write drafts.
The calendar view shows you what messages have been published and what is scheduled to go out.
Sprout Social Discovery
The Discovery section alerts you to follows who you do not follow back, those you are following who don’t follow you, and accounts that have mentioned you or with whom you have conversed. You can also filter dormant accounts to unfollow.
The Smart Search function lets you create saved searches for tweets that contain a phrase or keyword you want to monitor. You can also create a Smart Search to uncover accounts that are relevant to you, based on keywords.
Sprout Social Reports
The Reports section includes standard metrics for the growth and interaction for each network you connect. There is also a helpful Group report that consolidates the data across all of your networks to give you a global view of your social activity.
Sprout Social Pricing
Sprout Social pricing starts at $59 per user a month and includes up to five profiles. Pricing goes as high as $500 a month for premium features, so even at the low range, this is a tool that is really designed for team collaboration rather than the single user.
Sprout Social Demonstration Video
For a more in-depth examination of Sprout Social’s capabilities, set aside a half hour to watch this webinar in which all the features are covered at length. Sprout Social’s interface has changed a bit since this was recorded but all the major functions are covered.
